Maintenance Trainee - Ama, LA

This is a full-time, hourly level position.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the installation of machinery and equipment according to plans, drawings, and blueprints.

  • Assist in the troubleshooting machinery and equipment.

  • Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.

  • Move machinery using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

  • Perform equipment inspections

  • Maintain document records of performed inspections.

  • Perform system checks of Dust Systems to ensure system is working as designed and within company regulations

  • Investigate and repair Fugitive Dust issues found in the facility

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing equipment is preferred.

  • Driver’s license.

  • Willing to work holidays, weekends, rotating shifts, call outs.

  • Willing to work overtime on breakdowns.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand long periods of time.

  • Lifting max. 50#; stoop, bend, etc.

  • Drive vehicle and fork lift.
