Time & Attendance Transformation Lead - Erlanger, Kentucky or Chicago, Illinois

Job Summary:

This is a leadership role responsible for developing and optimizing end-to-end Time & Attendance processes across a truly global company and co-leading implementation of new Time & Attendance solutions. Work closely with Payroll, Benefits, Finance and Manufacturing leaders and partner with the ADM’s IT function to develop a strategy and roadmap for Time & Attendance technologies. Also support selection of new applications and co-lead projects to implement them and any necessary integrations from our SuccessFactors HCM system and to our local payrolls. In addition, plan and lead activities to define, implement and optimize consistent time and attendance and leave request/leave tracking processes, partnering with local teams to achieve ongoing improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for the transformation of time and attendance processes across all regions

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define transformation goals, milestones, and success criteria.

Process Redesign and Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead the redesign of processes for recording working and non-working time, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization and simplification and implementing innovative solutions to reduce manual effort and improve overall efficiency.

  • Work with Operations/Plant Management Teams and production schedulers to understand staffing plans, scheduling processes and workforce management challenges in order to identify how best to utilize the full functionality of new tools, inclusive of regular and contingent/ contractor workforce.

  • Maximize consistency across regions whilst respecting local legislative requirements

Technology Integration:

  • Work closely with IT teams to assess, select, and implement time and attendance software solutions.

  • Ensure seamless integration with other HR systems and tools to create a cohesive and user-friendly experience.

Change Management:

  • Influence and manage cross-functional stakeholders to adopt concepts, standards, processes and technologies that are new to ADM

  • Oversee development of training materials and job guides for HR teams, people managers and employees to maximize adoption of efficient time & attendance and leave management processes.

  • Communicate changes, updates, and best practices to ensure global understanding and compliance.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead and collaborate effectively across a variety of functions including HR, GT, Finance, Procurement and Business Operations to build a shared vision, to identify and address risks and concerns and to deliver process improvements.

  • Create communications to keep stakeholders informed of progress, changes, and benefits.

Metrics and Analytics:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of the time and attendance transformation.

  • Define reports that provide insights into workforce productivity, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.

  • Work with Data & Analytics teams to include Time & Attendance and Leave of Absence data within scope for enterprise analytics

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure the effectiveness of time and attendance systems and services.

  • Support negotiation of contracts and vendor relationship management for our major time & attendance technology partners.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Stay abreast of trends in international labor regulations related to time and attendance.

  • Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks associated with time and attendance practices.

  • Ensure ADM practices consider all works council and labor union requirements identified by local HR teams.

Data, Analytics and Reporting

  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement in time and attendance processes.

  • Ensure data structures in time and attendance systems enable accurate and standard downstream integrations for general ledger and other reporting purposes Supply data and analytics to support ADM’s Enable business to utilize data for analyzing relationships between time and attendance patterns, staffing needs and business outcomes.

  • Commitment to standards such as SEDEX to monitor/improve socially and environmentally sustainable business and supply chains.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing and managing Time & Attendance software solutions in an international environment across the full project life-cycle (tool selection, requirements definition, process & data model design, testing, training & change management) including integrations with HCM platforms and payroll systems

  • Must understand and be able to discuss labor planning and shift work requirements with Operations leaders; Payroll, Absence Management and Benefits processes with specialist HR teams; and integration data requirements, test planning and role-based security requirements with IT colleagues and implementation partners

  • Knowledge of leading time and attendance software solutions, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

  • Project management experience with a focus on process improvement and transformation.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive engagement and adoption across cultures and regions and at all levels of the organization

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification and experience in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Operations Management, Business Administration, etc
