This is a full time, exempt position
This position will conduct research and analysis within the Livestock Industry directly supporting the ADM Global Economic Research team and various global business units. The analyst will be expected to reach an expert level of knowledge regarding Nutrition and Livestock analytics. The work will not only focus within the livestock industry, but also knowledge of U.S and global markets. The individual will be able to find, analyze and communicate implications of both market and non-market factors on livestock from commodity markets, global economic data, trends and market conditions.
This role organizes, analyzes and communicates results in support of the company’s trading, commercial, finance and other teams. The analyst will also be tasked with effectively communicating ADM’s outlook to external audiences. This role will be expanded to include other responsibilities based on the overall development of the global economics team.
The position is based in Decatur, IL and will report to the Vice President of global economic research.
Description of Work Performed:
Regular written and oral updates on U.S and global livestock markets, forecasts and special reports on current issues
Work with the team to integrate data and market updates into evolving data management and presentation system(s)
Provide support to various colleagues to include making presentations, assisting with presentation preparation, data support, analytical reviews and other support, as needed
Assist the team with continuous best practice improvement
Knowledge & Skills:
A bachelor’s degree in economics, international business or related subject; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 7 years of livestock industry experience
Knowledge of global agricultural markets
Ability to work with and analyze multivariable models and to think globally
Extensive working knowledgeof statistical methods
Skilled communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor messages based on diverse audiences
Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization as well as within external organizations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
