This is a full-time, exempt level position.

Position Summary:

  • Under general supervision, and using established procedures and policies, provides support of ADM systems and users. Apply intermediate skills and knowledge of implemented systems to help resolve moderately complex issues and problems. Refers more complex issues to higher levels for guidance and/or resolution. Maintain a positive relationship with users.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of order and inventory applications for receiving, Creating, closing work tickets and trouble tickets.

  • Intermediate knowledge required to support medium level application specific problems

  • Ability to troubleshoot intermediate problems and effectively utilize available resources to resolve problems.

  • Create and maintain positive relationships within user base to ensure support processes meet customer needs.

  • Create and maintain positive relationships within the various IT support groups to meet needs and develop good working links. Ability to work well within groups to meet IT department directions and goals.

  • Understand, explain, and assist with adherence of internal policy as it pertains to the group and user/customer base.

  • Work with end users to ensure the uninterrupted running of lab instruments and associated computer equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of order and inventory applications for receiving, Creating, closing work tickets and trouble tickets.

  • Working with campus sites and local departments for company end user moves.

  • Be proficient in WAN/LAN cabling installation practices

  • Order and configure PC’s and other related IT equipment.

  • Assist end users with technical issues and support

  • Be the lead on special requests & projects, and high level work order requests

  • Manage and control large infrastructure projects to ensure time lines and schedules are met.

  • Work with 3rd party vendors on escalated issues

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma,.2 Year degree in an IT related field or 3 - 5 years of Equivalent IT work experience.

  • Effective Oral/Written Communications Skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows 7-10 required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Exchange, Sharepoint, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 – 2019, and Red Hat/Oracle Linux 5-8 preferred.

  • Extended periods of sitting and keyboard operations. System outage windows will require occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work. Participation in on call rotation required. Must locate with a 45 minute commute. Occasional air travel may be required.

  • Lifting 40lbs or more, climbing ladders, crawling in tight spaces, walking, standing kneeling, for extended periods of time. Use of PPE working in extreme heat and cold environments.
