Security and Compliance Lead

The Cloud Security and Compliance Lead will represent and enforce GT GICS’s (Global Information Cyber Security) priorities in the Cloud CoE. The Cloud CoE is accountable for planning and driving ADM’s strategy for the cloud from plan to delivery. The Security Liaison will be responsible for ensuring security and compliance priorities are met.

This individual will possess expertise in the realms of cloud and compliance security architecture. As the Cloud CoE makes decisions and plans for cloud capabilities, he or she will advise, facilitate, and require that security needs are embedded in the core.

The successful candidate will possess deep and mature and cloud security architecture skills, how compliance obligations are identified and met in the cloud, ADM Security Policy, knowledge of the “Product Model” and what it means to treat technology services as “products,” and how cloud security policy is enforced technically and through processes through the development lifecycle through operations. The individual will also require expertise in DevSecOps and what it means to deliver services that are “Secure by Design.”

This will be a highly visible, cross-functional Senior Technical Architect-level position within GT. The colleague will be a member of GT GICS and report directly the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering. He or she will also be encamped in the Cloud CoE and report dotted-line to the CoE leadership team, which is a cross-functional technology organization. In addition to technology content expertise, the winning candidate will possess good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with both senior leaders and colleagues across IT.

Job Responsibilities

  • Report to GICS Director of Architecture and Engineering as a Senior Technical Architect and Engineer

  • Report dotted-line to Cloud CoE Lead and Steerco representing Security and Compliance in CoE strategy, planning, and decision making

  • Ensure “Secure by Design” principles are injected and enforced in the development and rollout of new capabilities across Cloud CoE workstreams and governance

  • Define and ensure delivery of cloud security capabilities across Cloud CoE workstreams and governance

  • Define and ensure delivery of compliance capabilities and processes across Cloud CoE workstreams and governance

  • Drive policy definition and technical and process enforcement for security and compliance across Cloud CoE workstreams and governance

  • Support Cloud DevSecOps “Service Teams” in creating new services by ensuring they comply with and enforce security policies

  • Educate colleagues on security and compliance technology and processes

  • Assist with the coordination and planning the prototyping and evaluation of new cloud services

  • Act as an Enterprise Technical Architect dotted line to EA as needed in support of cloud security

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience

  • CISPP

  • 5+ years of Security Architecture

  • Expertise in Cloud Security Strategy and Industry Trends

  • 4+ years of Cloud Security Architecture

  • 3+ years support of IT Risk, Governance and Controls

  • Certification in Azure Security within 12 months of employment

  • Expertise automation platforms

  • Knowledge of data platforms and services

  • Strong interpersonal collaboration skills and ability to work across technology domains

  • Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate both upward and down
