Technical Service Specialist, Beverage - Erlanger, KY

This is a full time, exempt position.

Position Summary:

This is a role responsible for supporting ADM Nutrition customers in providing accurate technical documentation and support for the commercialization of their products. The position will require 30-40% travel to beverage manufacturing facilities to provide technical support for customer’s test runs and initial productions. The role requires an understanding of various beverage plant processes and the ability to work with the plant’s quality and blending departments. This role will also maintain the beverage copacker database, providing list to customers of co-packers that can produce the products ADM Nutrition has developed.

  • Prior experience working in a beverage manufacturing environment is required.

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team-based work environment with superior verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with copackers, customers and co-workers.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel with little notice.

  • Demonstrated capacity to excel within high risk, fast-paced work environment and results driven to provide support and achieve goals established by the division. Individual must be committed to corporate ethics policies & safety programs. Proven ability to assess business and financial risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions.

Key Roles:

  • Responsible for customers’ beverage test runs and plant startups

  • Accountable for solving and investigating formulation problems in the field

  • Responsible for creating and reviewing Manufacturing Instructions

  • Responsible for attending pilot plant scale ups

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Food Science, supplemented with a minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or quality control with an in-depth knowledge of beverage processing. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
