Position Summary:

As part of the Global Applications organization, the Deployment organization is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of SAP S/4 HANA, other technology solutions, and standard ways of working that are part of the overall 1ADM business transformation. The Release Deployment Leader is a critical role that is accountable for all activities and deliverables for the Deployment workstream in the assigned release. Key areas of responsibility include Business Readiness, Cutover, post go-live support (Hypercare), and Transition to Support. This role will partner with other Release Workstream Leaders, Business Leadership spanning from local leadership to executive leadership, 1ADM Program Leadership, and Global Technology leadership to ensure a release hits agreed to quality, budget, and schedule targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define, mobilize, and drive execution of all Deployment activities for the assigned release

  • Partner with business and IT leadership for all aspects of deployment planning and execution, including initial release scoping and deployment plan execution through cutover, go-live and stabilization periods

  • Provide input to work estimates, project and team level planning, and drive execution against agreed to plans for a given release

  • Monitor work products of team members to ensure standard processes are followed, are of high quality, and fit for purpose

  • Provide regular and accurate status updates and other documentation to management and team members for assigned project, support, and enhancement work.

  • Work with business stakeholders, solution leaders and architects, implementation partners and steady state support teams to enable business outcomes and ensure business operations can operate post go-live with minimal disruption

  • Business Readiness: In direct partnership with Business Transformation leaders, ensure key business colleagues are identified, mobilized, and execute against defined business-owned tasks such as site readiness, pre-production planning, business continuity during planned system outages during cutover, and system roll-back.

  • Cutover: End-to-end planning, execution, and management of all activities required in order to deploy the 1ADM solution into a production environment.

  • Transition to Support: Long-Term support organization readiness to become the primary support of the solution. Activities include assessing the Support Organization’s operational readiness such as staffing & experience levels, ensuring knowledge transfer activities are conducted, and ensuring stability of the solution and business trending towards steady state operations

  • Hypercare: Post-go live phase where both project team and support organization are resolving issues related to the implementation in order to mitigate impact to business operations. Activities include planning, mobilizing, and executing a Hypercare plan; defining and driving progress against stabilization criteria; providing regular updates to executive and operational-level business colleagues, Global Technology executive and senior leadership

  • International travel is required

Job Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years’ experience with progressive responsibility in business transformation programs

  • Minimum of 5 years working in a project or release management role

  • Minimum of three full-lifecycle SAP deployments

  • Exhibits ability to work both in a team environment and independently

  • Strong analytical, organization, time management, facilitation, and process management skills

  • Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate technical and non-technical information, ideas, procedures and processes to various stakeholders

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and with all levels of the organization and cope with rapidly changing information

  • Ability to evaluate and negotiate priorities and adapt to new/evolving individual and team assignments as adjustments are needed.

  • Interact and deal effectively with all levels of employees while maintaining a professional manner; willingness and effectiveness in challenging the status-quo.

  • Maintains a positive work environment through teamwork & conflict resolution

  • Expected to work occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or a variety of shifts, when needed, to meet deadlines

  • Ability and willingness to travel by auto and airas needed to achieve business objectives

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Information Systems, Business or other relevant academic discipline
